FreedomLV Lower Thirds Open the control panel

GET UP · Week 1 · Romans 8:11

Every lower third gets up.

A full lower-thirds system for FreedomLV, drawn from the GET UP art and the FLV mark. It runs live in OBS, Ecamm Live and vMix, takes orders from a phone, and comes rendered as PNG, ProRes and WebM for everything else.

  • 39 lower thirds, in the order a Sunday runs
  • 2 shapes: 16:9 and 9:16 for phone streams
  • 4 ways to use them: live, PNG, ProRes 4444, WebM
Pastor Mel Moore

“Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Ephesians 5:14 (CSB)

The Rise

To get up is to rise from a lower position. So every lower third does.

  1. The floor. A line draws across: the lower position.
  2. It gets up. The plate rises off that line. Its feet stay planted; its top edge stands.
  3. The arrows reach. The FLV mark's F points back, its L ahead, its V up: Break the Past, Care for the Present, Address the Future. The words rise in, line by line.
  4. The light. One pass of warm light crosses it from the upper right, like the light on the GET UP chair.

It never sits back down. When it leaves, it keeps rising and is gone.

The pack

Every lower third, both shapes, ready for any app. Tap a card to watch it rise.

Set it up

The live way is best: one address in your streaming app, then run everything from the control panel or a phone. The control panel's Set up button gives you your own address.

OBS Studio

  1. Sources, +, Browser. Paste your overlay address. Width 1920, height 1080 (1080 × 1920 for a vertical canvas).
  2. Untick "Shutdown source when not visible". Put it at the top of every scene.
  3. Optional: Docks, Custom Browser Docks, paste the control panel's phone link. It then works inside OBS even without internet.

No control panel? Add one Browser source per lower third with /overlay?show=name-mel&hold=8 and tick "Refresh browser when scene becomes active". It rises each time it appears.

Ecamm Live

  1. Overlays, +, Browser. Paste your overlay address.
  2. Or drop the ProRes IN clips in as video overlays; the PNGs work as image overlays.

vMix

  1. Add Input, Web Browser. Your overlay address, 1920 × 1080.
  2. Put it on an overlay channel and leave it on.

ProPresenter

  1. Import the ProRes IN clip, the PNG and the OUT clip for each lower third.
  2. Play IN, then show the PNG: it is IN's last frame, so the hand-off cannot be seen. Play OUT to clear.

StreamYard and Restream

  1. Brand, Overlays: upload the PNGs (1920 × 1080; the 9:16 set for portrait).
  2. Click one to put it up, click again to take it down.

From a phone

  1. In the control panel, Set up, scan the code with the phone that will run lower thirds.
  2. It opens the same panel, already connected. Tap a lower third, then Take.

Clips and reels

  1. Premiere, Final Cut, Resolve: ProRes IN, then the PNG for as long as you need, then ProRes OUT.
  2. CapCut and Canva: the PNGs. Use the 9:16 set for reels; it sits above the caption zone.
